The economy has been doing better indeed!

“Economy” is Greek for “manage a household”, derived from οκος, “house”, and νέμω, “distribute to a family”. Possibly the first recording of the word “economy” around 1440, “manages economic affairs”, in this case, a monastery. They managed and distributed food and wines (grown or kept on the monastery’s premises). The word furthermore encircled areal limitations (i.e. world economy)

In essence it also describes restaurants, as they also manage and distribute food and wines. The encirclement though is of more geographical nature. If it covers Italian food the reference is reference is made to Ristorante Capri, Lombardia and – in our case TICINO!

Luckily our guests and hence also we are doing better than the operator of the empty shelves to the left.
